This application is built by modifying the responsive Bootleaf template for building web mapping applications with Bootstrap 3, Leaflet, and typeahead.js. The Bootleaf template is Open source, MIT licensed, and available on GitHub.
Features
- Fullscreen mobile-friendly map template with responsive navbar and modal placeholders
- jQuery loading of external GeoJSON files
- Logical multiple layer marker clustering via the leaflet marker cluster plugin. Click on a marker cluster in the map to zoom to the area and explode the cluster into individual features and/or smaller clusters. Repeat the process as needed.
- Elegant client-side multi-layer feature search with autocomplete using typeahead.js
- Responsive sidebar feature list synced with map bounds, which includes sorting and filtering via list.js
- The dropdown Tools include the Map Legend, Zoom to Full Extent, and a Login dialog that can be activated to enable users access to restricted features or other functions
- The POI List toggles the sidebar "Points of Interest" list of features on and off. The sidebar only lists features that are visible in the map view, either clustered or individually. Click on a feature to immediately zoom to it and display its attribute table.
- Data for this application was provided by CVAG (see Metadata tab) in a Personal Geodatabase, exported to geoJSON format (text file) using the Data Interoperability Extension tool, formatted to meet standards and validated using GeoJSON Lint
